For FHE we went to Brother Browns house for dinner. It was delicious!
Friday we went to Best Of Show, which is the last show that Talent puts on of the semester. For Katelyn (and most likely me) it was her last show ever. She was the Talent Director this semester and did a phenomenal job!
This was the best show that we could have possibly ended on. It was "out of control," but in a good way. This show has never been this fun before....... probably because a lot of things were done that shouldn't have been done. oops :) it was a great ending to Talent though!
We came home, lamented over the end of the semester and Katelyn graduating, made chicken pillows, ate, and then promptly fell asleep on the living room floor. I woke up and everyone was going to Enrichment, so I washed my face, put my slippers on and walked out the door. For Enrichment we had a service activity, so Katelyn, Susie, Jessica George and I went over to #9 and cleaned their apartment for them. Then we went home and Katelyn and I proceeded to launch into our homework ALL day and ALL night, except for when we took a break to go get pizza (still in my slippers). Matt and Will came over and I think they were slightly grossed out by our lack of hygiene - no shower, change of clothes from the night before, makeup, deodorant, brushed hair or teeth..... nothing! But, don't worry. We're still friends.
This cat came to visit our apartment! Susie and I were the only ones to appreciate her. Dan is 6 years old. Gotta love him :)
Today I sang Away in a Manger in church in a quartet that I was assigned to. I was in denial until about two weeks ago that this was going to happen because I have never signed any paper that claims to be able to sing and I certainly have never volunteered for this. I showed up late to the practice before church and discovered that I was also singing in the choir for the whole sacrament meeting. Since the practice was over by the time I got there I didn't even know what songs we were singing. So I was finding out the next song right along with the congregation! It went well though and I only came in at the wrong time once. I actually did really well in the quartet (at least note wise) which is an accomplishment because I sang Bass, Alto and Soprano and we had only practiced twice before today.
Also, my ward bulletin was the talk of the ward today. We decided to have a little fun with the last sunday so we made a gag-bulletin as well as a normal boring one. It was a hit :)
