I have some pretty cool friends

Long story short - Last week's post inspired the following activity on Facebook:

Yes, you read that correctly. There were 459 comments. We completely dominated all of Facebook for the night. What did those 459 comments say? Basically that we want to start a blogging club where we all talk about a common topic (like we all did dating last week) but from our own perspectives. By popular vote, our blog will be called "Us Meets World."

Because all of us (except Izzy and me) are graduated and don't live in Rexburg anymore, we decided that we would all meet in Pocatello for dinner to discuss our blog in more detail.

In all honestly, it was a lot more excitement about being together, laughing and reaching a noise level that ultimately cleared everyone else out of our section of the restaurant, and a lot of discussion on "goats that were genetically altered to produce milk stronger than Spider Man." Oh yeah, and our blog was in there somewhere too. It was so much fun! I wanted the night to go on forever.

This pretty much sums up our night  :)

I decided that as long as I had made the trip to Pocatello, I might as well finish the trip off by going to Logan for the weekend. The drive to Pocatello had been slow, due to the first snow storm of the year and poor visibility. It was hard to see and I drove like an old lady all the way there. Katelyn said it was even worse coming from Logan and we considered staying the night in Blackfoot with Kandace and then seeing what the weather was like the next day to either go back to Rexburg, or finish the trip to Logan. We ultimately decided that we didn't want to stay in Blackfoot and opted to make our way slowly to Logan. I was tense the whole way, but it had largely cleared up and wasn't as bad as we had anticipated. We actually ended up making really good time!

We got to Katelyn's apartment at midnight, then we had to stay up for another two hours catching up on life. Needless to say, I slept until 1:00 in the afternoon and it felt so good! I am extremely sleep deprived these days, and my body needed some well deserved rest.

We went to a USU basketball game and the fans are so mean! I refused to do half of their cheers, and even secretly rooted for the other team a little because I felt so bad for them. I have to admit though, it was probably the most entertaining game I have been to because we were just as involved and had to pay just as much attention as the actual players did. I also really like the unity that is created by all the cheers. I guess that they actually have a little handbook type thing of all the cheers and when they are done, etc. that they give you when you are accepted to the school. That's pretty cool, I think.

Towards the end of the game, the mascot was crowd surfing up our section. Unfortunately, there was a shortage of people near the top and the surfing died right in front of us. On the bright side, we were able to get an awesome picture with Big Blue!

That night Katelyn made an amazing dinner. We made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and did light painting for my assignment. Then we watched Charley and cried. Such a fun weekend!

This may not be the most exciting post, but this is the first time in a long time that I have even had something to write about, so it's pretty exciting for me.

Yay for friends, blogging, and milk stronger than Spider Man!
