Road Trip

Yesterday, I woke up and realized that I had nothing to do.
So I made the extended movie to our family reunion - the road trip with Evelyn, Jackson and Adalie!

My dad, Courtney and I drove with these three from Rexburg to Oklahoma, and then Texas. Mom joined us for the trip back from Texas to Utah.
It was such a fun trip!

The following pictures were taken by Evelyn

Jackson was the best sleeper
I kind of have a reputation for never driving on road trips, and it's true. I'm not the biggest fan of driving and if someone else is willing, I will gladly give up the drivers seat. However, this trip, I actually drove!

DJ Courtney

Courtney was in the passenger seat showing off her expertise on kids songs. We had Evelyn, Jack and Addy all dancing in the back seat while my dad showed off his well known skills of being able to sleep anywhere and through anything. Courtney and I were just as into the music as the kids were, jamming out, showing off our best dance moves.... that's when I saw the lights flash behind me.

Are you kidding me!?

With my warning and police badge sticker

My first thought was that my dance moves had gone too far and I was being pulled over for drunk driving. I knew I wasn't speeding, there were no cars in sight for miles, and I couldn't think of any reason why I would be puled over.

I have a good history of being pulled over for stupid things:
- Driving through a crosswalk with someone in it (It's Rexburg! Everyone does this or we would never move! I actually got an $85 ticket)

Well, now I have one more to add to the list:

Driving on the left side of the road!

What? Is that really a law?
Apparently so.

The best part was Addy in the back yelling at me to "Go Allison! Go!"
She got very upset any time we stopped. The traffic jam on the way home about killed her.

Luckily, the police officer was nice and just gave me a warning.

Addy with her sticker from the police man

He also gave us stickers, which the kids thought were pretty cool!

On the way home Evelyn said to me "Umm.... Allison, next time you drive, can you not get pulled over? K?"

Thanks Ev  :)

Anyway, it was a great trip and it deserves to be documented.
So, without further Adieu, here it is!
enjoy!

p.s.  I also made some changes to the audio of the Family Reunion movie so the talking can actually be heard over the music. Sorry, I didn't know it would sound so different on TV instead of my computer. Live and learn.

Picture Overload!

As you can see, I finally got my pictures to load!

Brigham City Temple open house

I think that's pretty self explanatory

Cherise gives her mission farewell talk
She is going to Canada!

Can you just feel the excitement from her? Haha! Just kidding, she really was excited. I have no doubt that Cherise Amazing King is living up to her name and is an amazing missionary.

This was such a fun trip because these were my roommates my last semester at BYU-Idaho!
(minus the freshman and not counting my real last semester when I moved home because all my friends had already graduated)

I hadn't seen Krista in a long time and it was good to catch up with her and bring her up to speed on everyones lives.

We have had so many fun times together, and obviously, those fun times aren't stopping any time soon  :)

Cafe Sabor

Here We Glow

Spencer, Chelsey, Ashlee and Cullen ready to start the run!

Melissa and I were the best cheerleaders ever!

p.s.  I took Melissa's place at Bridgerland when she moved out. It was so fun to have her come back to visit!

The whole group after the race. Everyone did so good!

Leafing

Autumn is so gorgeous in Logan!

Cullen invited Chelsey and me to go on a "short hike to go check out the leafs" which interpreted to be and easy hike. Boy, was I wrong!
I should probably start doing something to stay in better shape.

I was planning on bringing my Nikon to take pictures of the Fall colors, but as usual, I forgot it.
Cullen remembered his Cannon (he's an art guy too) but forgot his SD card.
We are just awesome like that.

On the way back, we found these glasses on the side of the trail like this. Random!

Of course, we had Cullen try them on.

Football

After the General Relief Society Broadcast, Cate and I decided to go to the Utah State football game. We decided this a little late, so it was already the fourth quarter by the time we got there. Utah State was already winning by so much that a lot of people were already leaving when we got there. We went to go in, but the lady told us the stadium had already reached student capacity, so they couldn't let us in, even though half the students had already left. What? After sorting through all our options, we decided the best option would be to climb the fence. We will support out team!

Construction

There are more town homes being built next to us

Someone put a pirate flag in the middle of it.

It makes a great playground for the neighborhood kids

Rock Climbing

Chelsey and I went rock climbing with Cullen and Spencer

It was Chelsey's first time rock climbing

She was so good!

But I can definitely let my food supply run low.
This is everything I had on my shelf.... and that butter expired in June.

I've started watching Lost.
It's ok.

Dutch Oven

Cullen made the best dutch oven chicken and potatoes! Seriously, so good!
And of course, no dutch oven night could be complete without cobbler.
Delicious!
