Where Faith Lives
Fun Fact:
I almost always wake up with a song in my head.
This morning, I woke up with this song running through my head.
Faith is something I am continuously working on.
That fear seems to get me every time!
I guess it has been on my mind enough lately to work its way into my subconscious.
This time, faith is going to win!

Getting the hang of this?
I've mentioned before that I am called to teach Gospel Doctrine at church and it is very intimidating for me, to say the least.
But, incredibly, I think I might be getting the hang of this!
But, incredibly, I think I might be getting the hang of this!
This week my lesson is on the Resurrection and I'm actually feeling ok about it!
Shocker, I know.
At least my testimony has been strengthened!
Hopefully I can bring the spirit to touch my little class as well.

Lesson
I got called to be a teacher and it is horrifying! Everyone keeps telling me that it will get easier, but they are lying. It is horrifying every sunday.
As if I wasn't already scared to death, our stake decided to change the way lessons work and did away with the teaching manual. Now I have a topic, such as "The Godhead" and I have free reign from there. I think this is a little too much freedom for my liking.
The up side is that I get to spend a little extra time learning about my Heavenly Father, my Savior, and my potential. (Sounds pretty selfish. Probably because it is.) Maybe, if I'm lucky, I can share a little of that with those I teach. Maybe....
This is a clip I would like to share for my next lesson, but my room doesn't get internet, so I won't be able to. So, you can enjoy it here!
Instead of the movie, I think I'll measure people's bodies instead.
Sounds like fun to me :)

Lead Kindly Light
I have been so extremely blessed in my life and lately I have been overwhelmed with gratitude.
I have had Lead Kindly Light playing through my head for weeks now.
Listen to the words. Really listen to them.
I feel like this song is speaking directly to me at this time in my life.
I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan - That He has a plan specifically for me.
I have no idea what that plan is, but He is lighting the way for me.
It is only a small light in the distance, but I am walking towards it -
One step here....
Another step there....
These steps can be scary, but I am not taking them alone. I have never been left alone.
My Savior is with me.
He has always taken care of me and things have always worked out.
Always.
Even better than I imagined they could!
So why would I think He would leave me now?
He wouldn't.
He never will.
I'm trying this new thing called trusting in the Lord - letting Him lead.
Not just when His plan happens to coincide with mine, but trusting before I even make my plans.
I'm letting Him make the plans.
Being someone who likes to have control, this can be tough.
But, let me tell you, He has some good ideas!
Now all I have to do is Trust.
Lead, kindly Light, amid th'encircling gloom,
Lead Thou me on;
The night is dark, and I am far from home;
Lead Thou me on.
Keep Thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene one step enough for me.
I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou
Shouldst lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now
Lead Thou me on.
I loved the garish day, and spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will: Remember not past years.
So long Thy pow'r has blest me, sure it still
Will lead me on
O'er moor and fen, o'er crag and torrent, till
The night is gone.
And with the morn those angel faces smile,
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.

Picture Overload!
As you can see, I finally got my pictures to load!
Brigham City Temple open house
I think that's pretty self explanatory
Cherise gives her mission farewell talk
She is going to Canada!
Can you just feel the excitement from her? Haha! Just kidding, she really was excited. I have no doubt that Cherise Amazing King is living up to her name and is an amazing missionary.
This was such a fun trip because these were my roommates my last semester at BYU-Idaho!
(minus the freshman and not counting my real last semester when I moved home because all my friends had already graduated)
I hadn't seen Krista in a long time and it was good to catch up with her and bring her up to speed on everyones lives.
We have had so many fun times together, and obviously, those fun times aren't stopping any time soon :)
Cafe Sabor
My roommates and home teacher
(He still owes us cookies from last month)
Here We Glow
Spencer, Chelsey, Ashlee and Cullen ready to start the run!
Melissa and I were the best cheerleaders ever!
p.s. I took Melissa's place at Bridgerland when she moved out. It was so fun to have her come back to visit!
The whole group after the race. Everyone did so good!
Leafing
Autumn is so gorgeous in Logan!
Cullen invited Chelsey and me to go on a "short hike to go check out the leafs" which interpreted to be and easy hike. Boy, was I wrong!
I should probably start doing something to stay in better shape.
I was planning on bringing my Nikon to take pictures of the Fall colors, but as usual, I forgot it.
Cullen remembered his Cannon (he's an art guy too) but forgot his SD card.
We are just awesome like that.
On the way back, we found these glasses on the side of the trail like this. Random!
Of course, we had Cullen try them on.
Football
After the General Relief Society Broadcast, Cate and I decided to go to the Utah State football game. We decided this a little late, so it was already the fourth quarter by the time we got there. Utah State was already winning by so much that a lot of people were already leaving when we got there. We went to go in, but the lady told us the stadium had already reached student capacity, so they couldn't let us in, even though half the students had already left. What? After sorting through all our options, we decided the best option would be to climb the fence. We will support out team!
Construction
There are more town homes being built next to us
Someone put a pirate flag in the middle of it.
It makes a great playground for the neighborhood kids
Rock Climbing
Chelsey and I went rock climbing with Cullen and Spencer
It was Chelsey's first time rock climbing
She was so good!
Rexburg
Nielsen's with Tanner and my dad
I got engaged!
Tanner on the thinking rug after posting my false engagement on facebook
Helping mom get ready for school
Dad with his hair sticking straight up after jeeping with Tanner
Mom and Dad painting
Tanner and I were no help at all.
We watched Burn Notice until 1:00 in the morning
General Conference
The big announcement
My favorite talk
I love conference brunch!
And our traditional hike between sessions
beautiful!

Food
But I can definitely let my food supply run low.
This is everything I had on my shelf.... and that butter expired in June.
Lost
I've started watching Lost.
It's ok.
Soccer
The cheerleaders
The soccer players
All of us (minus Clayson)
Dutch Oven
Cullen made the best dutch oven chicken and potatoes! Seriously, so good!
And of course, no dutch oven night could be complete without cobbler.
Delicious!
Consider yourselves updated
