Photo Shoot!
Wednesday, I took pictures of Mallory at the Nature Park. Whitney was my lovely assistant. We had so much fun!
There were a ton of duck there so we went to play with them after the shoot. It was fun until on decided to attack me and bit me!
Later that day I took pictures of Kandace, and Whitney assisted me again.
They were so entertaining that by the time we got around to actually taking the assignment, the sun was gone.
It was still so much fun though!
Out of Control
For FHE we went to Brother Browns house for dinner. It was delicious!
Friday we went to Best Of Show, which is the last show that Talent puts on of the semester. For Katelyn (and most likely me) it was her last show ever. She was the Talent Director this semester and did a phenomenal job!
This was the best show that we could have possibly ended on. It was "out of control," but in a good way. This show has never been this fun before....... probably because a lot of things were done that shouldn't have been done. oops :) it was a great ending to Talent though!
We came home, lamented over the end of the semester and Katelyn graduating, made chicken pillows, ate, and then promptly fell asleep on the living room floor. I woke up and everyone was going to Enrichment, so I washed my face, put my slippers on and walked out the door. For Enrichment we had a service activity, so Katelyn, Susie, Jessica George and I went over to #9 and cleaned their apartment for them. Then we went home and Katelyn and I proceeded to launch into our homework ALL day and ALL night, except for when we took a break to go get pizza (still in my slippers). Matt and Will came over and I think they were slightly grossed out by our lack of hygiene - no shower, change of clothes from the night before, makeup, deodorant, brushed hair or teeth..... nothing! But, don't worry. We're still friends.
This cat came to visit our apartment! Susie and I were the only ones to appreciate her. Dan is 6 years old. Gotta love him :)
Today I sang Away in a Manger in church in a quartet that I was assigned to. I was in denial until about two weeks ago that this was going to happen because I have never signed any paper that claims to be able to sing and I certainly have never volunteered for this. I showed up late to the practice before church and discovered that I was also singing in the choir for the whole sacrament meeting. Since the practice was over by the time I got there I didn't even know what songs we were singing. So I was finding out the next song right along with the congregation! It went well though and I only came in at the wrong time once. I actually did really well in the quartet (at least note wise) which is an accomplishment because I sang Bass, Alto and Soprano and we had only practiced twice before today.
Also, my ward bulletin was the talk of the ward today. We decided to have a little fun with the last sunday so we made a gag-bulletin as well as a normal boring one. It was a hit :)

Catching Up....
Katelyn went to New York and this is what our room looked like the day before she left. There were also clothes hung in the hallway and both bathrooms as well. Gotta love times like these :)
This semester I have been a coordinator for Talent Activities on campus. This was my last show of the semester that I was over (Acoustic Cafe II) Tyler, Mallory and Jessica did such a good job! They were the dream team managers. But they really were. I'm not just saying that. For real.
Over Thanksgiving Break all my roommates left, but Susie stayed an extra day. I love Susie soo much and I feel like we have bonded a lot this semester. We stayed up late talking about everything and then watched a movie and fell asleep. In the morning we went to the temple, then to lunch accompanied by her brother Arley, followed by a fabulous photo shoot.
Something you should probably know: Activities are a BIG deal in our ward. I used to be the activities coordinator and wen I was released Susie was put in my spot. So we took it upon ourselves to plan a little activity for those people who were left. We called our AMAZING bishop and asked to go hot tubbing at their house. They said they wouldn't be home, but we were welcome to come and they would leave treats for us and we could watch a movie or whatever. I LOVE OUR BISHOP!
Susie and me
One of my old roommates, Anne, came too!
Bishop and his wife finally got home and we talked and then most people went home. Susie, Arley, Anne and I stayed though and tht is when the real party started! We sang karaoke and talked some more and ended up breaking curfew because they wouldn't let us leave! We are so blessed to have them :)
The other day we went over to our friends house for lemon pancakes (sounds disgusting, I know, but they are actually soo good!) These friends happen to be in a band called The Climbing (who also happen to be soo good) so they have all this recording equipment.
They got this genius idea to record a Christmas song and we could all sing! So I had my first (and most likely last) recording session! We sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and my solo line was "If the fates allow." (We each had a solo line and we sang together for the chorus.) I was pretty much the only one who didn't actually sing and it was terrifying! I was shaking! But it was still soo cool!
Haley and Bennett are here! Saturday we picked out a Christmas tree and decorated the house. Because I lack decorating ability, I helped Dad put the lights on the house outside while Mom, Haley and Courtney did the inside. It was fun to all be together.
Bennett and me. Hie is so thrilled to have his picture taken for the hundredth time. cant you tell :)
Bringing the tree in
I held the tree while Dad tightened it. Haley said it was the most manly thing she has ever seen me do.
Katelyn needed a picture of "procrastination" for a project she is working on so this was our interpretation that we made in like 15min. Life is so fun sometimes.

Lilly Sue
I had the opportunity to photograph this cute little girl who was just born on Thanksgiving. It was my first time doing newborn portraits, and she was kind of fussy through the whole thing, but it was a good experience overall. She was so cute!

Thanksgiving Break
Everyone on campus is so excited for Thanksgiving Break! However, I think this has less to do with Thanksgiving and more to do with the break and a chance to catch up on homework. I am no exception to this. One of my goals to catch up on has been my photography class. I needed groups of 4 and 5 so I threw together my parents, Courtney, cousin Madison, and good friend Will. We had so much fun taking these! Half the time I was laughing so hard I could hardly take the picture! Here is a sampling of the fun:
As fun as it was, I am still not the biggest fan of taking portraits. I think I'll stick with Photoshop :)
I learned this year that my family doesn't like Thanksgiving! Who doesn't like Thanksgiving!? Actuall, I guess it's just the food that they don't like, but that's like 90% of the holiday! Anyway, after I talked them out of doing a potluck or having chicken pillows we decided to have an Iron Chef Thanksgiving Pie Competition. We went all out and recorded all the drama and excitement that went along with it. Here is a little snippet of the action:
We went to the Mills for dinner and they judged our pies. The results? Drum roll please.........
4th Courtney - Pumpkin Cheesecake
3rd Mom - Chocolate Pie
2nd Dad - Ice Cream Pie
1st ALLISON!!! - Apple Pie
If you can't tell, I am just a little bit pleased with myself :)
Anyway, Thanksgiving ended up being a lot of fun, and I don't think I'm ready to go back to school again.
Happy Thanksgiving!
